Return of Devon and Dorset- The return of Devon and Dorset should be given by Auxslyvus, but of coarse we do not plan or prepare for such things. Not by a long shot -- we are Varosean, and fate spits in our eye and we spit in its. Though we will always prepare for fate to wake up on the right side of the bed and bless us. I have been in communication with the Saxons and the Auxslyvus -- both seem interested in our patronage now. They know House Varosean has a few more years of life left before we fade into oblivion, and they want to use this dying weapon against each other. They will come to save us, or they may not. Either way, if fate smiles on us at all either the Saxons or Auxslyvus will sweep through Dorset and throw back Magnus' armies. If this is the case, then food is to immediately be found for everyone within the city -- have the peasants immediately bring in crops and such. Restore House Varosean's authority and burn the banners of House Magnus from the top of Dorset. Devon will be lost to us for one more year.
We are dying, but we are not dead yet.
However, there is a contingency plan that must be taken into account -- that if we are betrayed by our enemies. If the Magnus army is about to break our hold, or if Auxslyvus betrays us and helps Magnus or invades us after he's smited Magnus. I want to ensure they gain nothing from Dorset.
I hereby order that my retainers, principly Bleidd (4/5/5) (who becomes avalible this turn), along with Amynedd (2/3/3), Eres (3/1/5), Owena (2/2/4) and any other besides Tiberius -- set fire to the docks and to any wooden structures within the city. If House Varosean must die, we will die with Dorset.
Military/Diplomatic/Intrigue Orders
Linnuis-Varosean Conflict in East Anglia- As per my previous turns orders my units shall be placed under the command of Prince Linnuis for the duration of next turn. These forces include the following:
Lord Edmyg's Army (5/1/4) Traits - Nightfighter +1 Military during night battles
1st Somerset Men-At-Arms (Battles: Sack of Dorset (25%), The Armorican War, Battle for Yorkshire (25%))
1st Somerset Archers (Battles: Sack of Dorset (25%), The Armorican War, Battle for Yorkshire (0%))
1st Somerset Scouts (Battles: Sack of Dorset (25%), The Armorican War, Battle for Yorkshire (40%))
Lady Eimhear's Army (6/4/4) Traits - None (Subcommander: Duxtrix Tarian Varosean (3/4/5))
2nd Somerset Men-At-Arms (Battles: Sack of Dorset (25%), The Armorican War, Battle for Yorkshire (25%))
3rd Somerset Men-At-Arms (Battles: Sack of Dorset (25%), The Armorican War, Battle for Yorkshire (25%))
1st Dorset Knights (Battles: Battle for Yorkshire (25%))
Lord Yean Gal (5/3/1)
2nd Dorset Knights (Battles: Battle for Yorkshire (25%))
1st Dorset Medium Cavalry (Battles: Battle for Yorkshire (30%))
2nd Dorset Medium Cavalry (Battles: Battle for Yorkshire (30%))
3rd Dorset Medium Cavalry (Battles: Battle for Yorkshire (30%))
As of right now we command the most experianced army in all of Britannia. No other House, with the possible exception of House Linnuis, could hope to compete with our men's quality and experiance. We have waged war upon various foes for years. From House Auxentius' collapse to the wars in Armorica, to the battle of Yorkshire no-one can claim to have fought so fiercely as the men of Houe Varosean. They should take pride in it.
!!!NOTE TO MIKE THE GM!!!!
The above is only a rough draft of the forces I have sent. Their Order of Battle shall conform with Linnuis' orders -- this is a direct copy of those orders, please simply refer to his orders for organisation:

ORDER OF BATTLE:
Commander: Prince Derfel of Lindum, Patriarch of House Linnuis (5/3/4, Rep of -8)
Commanding: 1st Lincolnshire Peasant Levy, 2nd Lincolnshire Peasant Levy, 1st East Riding Peasant Levy, 2nd East Riding Peasant Levy, 1st Yorkshire Peasant Levy, 2nd Yorkshire Peasant Levy
Prince Linnuis is leading the peasants because I want him to be able to motivate them to stand strong, especially against a cavalry charge, and I want him to be seen with the peasants, drawing the Saxons out. They need to think that this is all the army has to offer and is thus capable of being overcome by what I believe is going to be a smaller force, and their eagerness to kill "Steapa" will be their undoing.
Subcommander 1: Stiora Linnuis, Marshall of House Linnuis (6/2/5, Rep of 7)
Commanding: 1st East Riding Knights, 1st Lincolnshire Knights, 1st Cornwall Knights (75%, Varosean), 1st Dorset Knights (75%, Varosean), 1st Cornwall Medium Cavalry (70%, Varosean), 2nd Cornwall Medium Cavalry (70%, Varosean), 3rd Cornwall Medium Cavalry (70%, Varosean)
Subcommander 2: Lord Uther ap Derfel of Lincolnshire (5/1/3, Rep of 1)
Commanding: 1st Lincolnshire Men-at-Arms, 1st East Riding Men-at-Arms
Subcommander 3: Lord Cadarn ap Uther (5/4/2, Rep of 0)
Commanding: 2nd Lincolnshire Men-at-Arms
Subcommander 4: Lady Ceinwyn ap Derfel (5/1/2, Rep of 2)
Commanding: Bog Scouts
Subcommander 5: Edmyg Varosean (5/1/4, Rep of -3)
Commanding: 1st Somerset Men-at-Arms (75%), 2nd Somerset Men-at-Arms (75%), 3rd Somerset Men-at-Arms (75%)
Subcommander 6: Caffel Varosean (5/1/2, Rep of 0?)
Commanding: 1st Somerset Scouts (60%)
Subcommander 7: Fionnuala Eimhear (6/4/4, Rep of 0?)
Commanding: 1st Somerset Archers
The Morale of the Men- The Army has not been paid in over two years, and they demand their coin and their coin now. They now serve under a broken House, its lands destroyed by its foes, and its leadership excommunicated from the Church. All hope is lost -- or is it? The Army of House Varosean must give at least one final shout into the heavens, and scream its name one last time before we are sundered and scattered to the wind.
To this end Tarian Varosean (3/4/5) (with +1 Intrigue will executed at night) and Lowri (1/6/5) will attempt to restore our control over the men, and help to improve their morale. The reawakening of Steapa in Linnui's elaborate hoax will, we hope, help to bolster their belief that we are in fact divinely inspired. To this end, I wish to have a speech before the men (as safetly as I can possible do so without looking cowardly). It shall be done with whomever fits best, Lowri has superior stats but Tarian is the faction leader, maybe they can both try to tag-team this little adventure:
"Men of House Varosean! Hear the words of Tarian Varosean, the Mother of Shadows.
Do any of you remeber the day when I first brought you into my service? Into the service of my House? I do, for I do not forget such things. Over six years ago I assembled you before me, a mighty army if Britannia has ever seen one, and it was there that I knew my family's prestige and right to rule Somerset could not be questioned -- not by the Imperator, not by the Auxentius', not by anyone. Much as happened since that day and not all of it has been to our benefit -- has it? We took Dorset ... we took it as our own and we laid claim to what was rightfully ours. While the rest of Britannia fought for petty family issues, it was we who took the risk and the reward granted to us by the Sack of Dorset and we all basked in the glory of that triumph, did we not? We were the only House in all of Britannia to so wholly commit ourselves to the cause in Armorica, our cousins. Was it not House Varosean that stood against the tide of the Franks as they charged like madmen upon our lines? Was I not there, was Lord Edmyg and Lady Fionnuala not there as well -- did we not stand shoulder to should with you upon those lines? Did we not give you victory then?
I do not lie when I say that my House understands your plight. You are owed coin, coin that is yours by the might of your swordarms, by the accuracy of your arrow or your eye -- you deserve land for taking upon arms in the name of my family. Coin that, I promise you, will be yours. We were betrayed, it is that simple. We were betrayed by Lord Auxslyvus and his inbred kinsmen. We were betrayed by Lord Magnus, that fat Roman who lorded over children in some filthy obscene manner. While we marched north to the defend the lands of the Imperator from a usurper who wished nothing more than to crawl on all fours before a Scottish king and beg for his protection. We are all Varoseans we will not see Britannia brought to its knees, we will not watch as cowardly lords and ladies cling to the Scottish, or the Saxons, or the Frank, or the Roman-dogs! We are Britons! We are Celts!
We will not yield now, not when the very fate of our House and of our Britannia is so threatened by the Saxons and by Auxslyus. We march now to cleanse East Anglia of the Saxons, and to plunder and loot the coins they have stolen from our peoples across Britannia. You desire your coins, my brave Celts? You shall have them, when we tear down the walls of East Anglia and scourge the filthy Saxons from existance -- when we push them into the sea and burn their homes, pillages their villages, and loot their cities. We shall cast down the false idols of their pagan faith and in its place hoist the banner of the True Cross so that all pagans will know that Britannia is God's and God's alone! The Archbishop is corrupt, I know many of you whisper in the darkness of your tents about our excommunication from the Church. I ask you to be the Celts that I know you are and see past the corruption of yet another damn Roman. Archbishop Hispanus was put into power by Magnus and Faustus, both Romans, and propped up by Auxslyvus -- his elaborate palace, for what it amounts to is being constructed by Magnus. He is a Roman and what right does a Roman have to lord over the spiritual affairs of Britannia -- a Celtic land?
I say to you all the Archbishop is corrupt beyond measure, beyond forgivness. He takes the coin of Magnus and Auxslyvus while being a puppet of Lord Faustus -- he is base cur and the Lord Almighty's work within Britannia has been undone by his corruption. After we cleanse the Saxons from this land, we shall cleanse him too and we shall take from his false palace of worship his coin as well and it shall be given to you. Do not look upon it as sacking a House of God -- for what kind of a cathedral, built upon foundations of corruption and greed by Hispanus, can be anything but a borrow of Satan?
Alas, we come to this moment don't we? Can you hear it, the strings of history bursting one after another? What is done here today will echo across the history of Britannia, it will echo across the history of the known world. Will you stand with me once more? Will you wage war for House Varosean again? Do not let history remember this as the final moment of glory for those who still fight for the Lord Almighty. Do not let history remember this place as the final lights of hope for Britannia -- suffering from pagan oppression and Roman corruption -- to go out in the night. We are Celts, and we are not finished -- not nearly!"
Dorset Siege- The Siege of Dorset will not last much longer for us and for our House. We are to retreat back to the Keep proper and make our final stand against Wolfirc and his damned peasants. If we are not betrayed, then when Wolfric enters the city and begins to lay siege to the Keep proper, a lot of his peasants and such will be within the city. House Auxslyvus is suppose to support us and attack Magnus from behind and cleanse him out of the city. Once Magnus is truly beset and about to break, our forces will storm out of the Keep and push him out of the city proper. Auxslyvus and his men should simply turn and leave upon the crushing of Magnus. As such, we should expect not hostility from his men. However, if they betray us, burn the city as ordered above.
Vassalage to House Linnuis- The betrayal of Auxslyvus and Magnus have left House Varosean broken and hurt. If we are to survive given our new lot in life, we must look for powerful patrons. To this end, if the assault on East Anglia is successful and our army's wages paid in full -- Tarian Varosean is to kneel before Prince Linnuis (aka: Steapa the Impaler) and swear alliegance to him. We will say that he is the rightful heir to the throne with Steapa the III missing. House Varosean shall essientally before House Linnuis' vassal.
And so the die is cast for the fate of my family and of all Britannia. We leave it in God's hands now.
Ave Dominus Nox.
