Lords and Ladies of Britannia! Hear the words of the Master of House Varosean -- let my words echo in the ears of you all. From the humble Lord Magnus to the mighty Imperator Steapa III! Dark days are coming for the lands of the House of Abaddon and indeed for all of Britannia. In just a year we have watched the deaths of thousands of our kinsmen at the hands of the Saxons -- we have seen London ransacked and the Church itself set to flight. The Archbishop now resides in Pagan hands, who can say what his spiritual purity is now ... having languished in such barbaric hands for so long. We have watched as Lord Linnuis, along with those fellow lords who bravely marched under his banner, were betrayed by the cloak and dagger tactics of a base cur. A so-called noble within our very ranks who employs the tactics more befitting of our previous Roman masters.
In this same year we have had to bear witness to the brutal murder of the Lady and Lord of House Abaddon. They invited myself and a handful of, assumingly, respectible lords into their home. We were given all the luxuries befitting those of our noble station. What did my friends recieve in return for their kindness? They were slain in their beds like animals by monsters in the night. Now word reaches us of a rather interesting set of circumstances and coincidences which has led the bastard-son Cadeyrn Abaddon to disgrace his House's name and seek the refuge of House Auxslyvus. The recent announcement by Lord Beneferrus Marcus Tetricus Auxslyvus regarding their marriage and the subsequent raising of an army to depose of Lady Freya is but the last slap in the face of honor and justice. It is one I simply will not allow.
As of this moment, with the full permission and willing cooperation of Lady Freya, Rightful Heir to House Abaddon and all of its lands -- as agreed, for the good of her House, her heritage, and her people to become a vassal of House Varosean. She has informed me she will take an oath of alliegance to my House. In exchange for this, she will be wed to my grandson Bleidd next year. Their children, in the interest of continuing the ancient line will retain the name Abaddon -- I see no issue with this. My grandson shall, at her personal request, be made Lord of Carmarthen.
With this said, and no doubt to be confirmed by the Lady Freya herself, I hereby denounce Cadeyrn Abaddon as a traitor to House Varosean and by extension of my rights, to House Abaddon as well. He will submit himself to my authority immediately or he will risk punishment of death. To atone for his sins he must come crawling, naked, before the walls of Glamorgan and plead for the forgivness of his sister, Lady Freya. He will renounce all ties and rights to lands within the House and submit himself to the authority of the Monestary in Cornwall. Here, we can only hope, he may repent for his treason against his sister and I. Perhaps God can burn away the blackness of his soul. For I fear that if the bastard-traitor does not permit God to do it ... I shall do it for him.
