Lord Magnus,

I appreciate your attempt to intervene on this matter.  The silence from my supposed friends the Varoseans and the Auxslyvus is very disconcerting.  I would be preapred to agree to the treaty as is, if we removed numbers 4, 6, 7, 8, in short all the provisions regarding Carmarthen, which has nothing to do with the succession or murder of my mother.  If this happens, I will marry Cadeyrn and by virtue of that arrangment he will be heir until I bear his children at which time they will become the heirs as is proper and fitting.

Lady Freya

Lady Freya,

Cadeyrn is already due to be wed to my daughter. Also, he is your half-brother. Such a marriage would go against all common decency and morality, and would likely produce offspring unfit to inherit a lordship. Now, intensive negotiations took place between Lady Varosean and myself to establish this agreement, under the pretense that you had sworn vassalage to House Varosean and would follow their orders. If you are their vassal, then you are honor-bound to abide by your mistress and follow this treaty; if you reject this treaty, then you must also reject your oath to House Varosean, and may do so publicly here.
